Easter Egg Sticker Activity

This simple activity was a big hit with Jude! I used it as a listening and following directions exercise by telling him what letter to put the sticker on.

We worked on this for over an hour, there will be many more sticker activities in our future!

Bath Tub Art Studio Easter Egg Painting

I set up the bath tub art studio again! This time Jude painted eggs and he LOVED it!

We used Crayola's washable neon paints, Alex Toy funky paint brushes and the non-slip colorful dot mat is from Muchkin!

I put washi tape on a few eggs so that I could remove it when he was done painting and have striped eggs!

I am absolutely obsessed with how these turned out! He did such a great job and I am really loving the neon colors that pop through!

Happy Easter crafting!

Tie Dye Snow Sensory Fun

We are getting hit with another big snow storm tomorrow! Perfect time to share this sensory activity that is perfect for days where snow has your kiddos stuck inside... Tie Dye Snow!

This kept my one and a half year old happily busy for almost 2 hours! I actually had to go outside a few times to get more snow for him!

All you need is a bin or a tub for the snow, little bottles, and water mixed with food coloring! I also put out measuring cups so he could dig and scoop.

These bottles are perfect for little hands and I didn't have to refill them. They were large enough to last the entire 2 hours!

Have fun
and
fingers crossed that this is the last snow storm this winter!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

To celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, I made a tablecloth out of coloring pages and made Jude a green "egg". The egg was actually pudding with a Nilla wafer in the center.

This was super easy and Jude really loved coloring the tablecloth and eating the pudding. This is something we will do again next year!

Year Of The Dog

Our town is having a parade to celebrate Chinese New Year! I thought it would be fun to make something to wave while we watch the parade, and I came up with this easy dog maraca!

We just made it out of 2 bowls, with a paper towel roll for a handle and pasta inside to shake and make noise.

I let Jude paint the pieces and then I assembled it with a hot glue gun. He ate his lunch in his high chair and watched me put it together. I thought it was important for him to see it go together so that he understood better that we made it. He was very excited with the finished product and had to show his dad when he came home!

Can't wait to take him to the parade! Happy New Year!!!

An Indoor Beach Party For Elmo's Birthday

Elmo's Birthday is February 3rd and we decided to throw him an indoor beach party to celebrate!

Jude and I decorated a plain cake from Wegmans (our favorite grocery store). We used blue frosting, gummy candies, graham cracker crumbs (for the sand) and a few bath toys (they were clean!).

This adorable tote is from The Land of Nod.

Vintage sand toys.

Our indoor beach party! Jude LOVED this and played for hours! We will be setting up the indoor beach again, it was a big hit and such a great way to kick those winter blues!

Kinetic sand is less messy for indoor play and still a great sensory activity!

 Vintage Sesame Street toys.

Happy Birthday Elmo! Jude loves you!

Christmas Red Truck Footprint Craft

Just wanted to share the Christmas footprint craft I made with Jude. Our holiday card photos were taken in a red truck so I thought this twist on the Christmas tree footprint was perfect!
