Thanksgiving Sliders

My fiance's favorite... Thanksgiving Sliders!

We made cranberry sauce from scratch... it's way better than store bought in my opinion.

So this is typically what you have left over from Thanksgiving dinner. Stuffing, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and turkey. (I add mayo to the cranberry sauce for my sandwich!)

All the hard work is already done! You just need to assemble...

YUMMMMM!

Love these! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Gingersnap Hazelnut Crust

I made a Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Gingersnap Hazelnut Crust! I used a recipe from allrecipes.com. The only change I made to the recipe is I made a bigger batch of the crust because I wanted the crust to go all the way up the sides of the cake. Can't wait to cut into this with JT's family tonight!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bubblegum Martinis

Rimmed the glass with Chiclets (the tiny size)

My favorite cocktail shaker. I love pink elephants!

Ingredients
2 shots Whipping cream

1 shot Milk
Ice
Gumballs for garnish

Chiclets for garnish

Pour cream, milk, and vodka into to shaker with ice. Shake like crazy and do a fun dance. Strain into martini glass rimmed in Chicklets.

Sip, smile and enjoy!

This drink reminded me of my Cousin Amy. She was gum obsessed when we were growing up. Always chewing on a piece of gum. She would get Perry's Bubblegum Ice cream that had pieces of bright colored bubble gum in it. She would spit the pieces of gum out onto a napkin while we were eating so she could chew the gum after she was done with the ice cream...  It was really disgusting and I always yelled at her. Miss those days! :)

Fun & colorful- bubblegum has a way of making you feel like a kid again.
Cheers! xo Lizzie

work in progress

I am thinking my etsy shop could use a make over! Started working on updating my shop photos. Not going to get to finish it tonight but I am really looking forward to a new look! I was looking at the photos of the very first hangers I sold and can't believe how much better I have gotten at making them!

First updated photo for my shop!

Bubble Delicious Infused Vodka

I have bought so many flavored vodkas... they are taking over our bar! I had a cocktail idea in mind but it needs bubblegum flavored vodka and much to my surprise .. I do not have bubblegum flavored vodka! Normally I would run out and buy it but bubblegum is a flavor that I don't think I want a lot of! I think it's a once in a great while flavor. So I decided to make my own bubble gum infused vodka today.

You will need; bubble gum, vodka, and a mason jar. That's it!

I used Bubblicious bubble gum.

I cut the bubblegum pieces in half to allow for more surface area to be exposed to the vodka.

Put the bubblegum in the jar.

Then poured in the vodka.

It will be ready to use in a week!

States of Love

My heart aches for everyone affected by the storm. I still really can not comprehend the destruction, devastation and loss that our neighbors have endured.

The strength, love and perseverance of New Jersey and New York will ultimately shine through this tragedy.

If you want to help out recovery efforts by volunteering or donating please visit this website for a comprehensive list.

I painted this picture for my fiance back in 2008. It currently hangs in our guest room. When I see NY I see love. So pretty much every time I paint anything NYC related... hearts end up in the picture somewhere.

Empire State Building, I also painted for my fiance in 2010.

Love you NJ/NY...
